The art of Circuit Board Repair has changed greatly since the early 1980s. As technology has significantly changed and office imaging has evolved from analog to digital, so has the need to develop special processes and procedures to ensure that complete repairs are realized on today’s complex boards.
Hytec was built on the quality of our repairs and technical capabilities, and has always maintained a lead role in providing dealers the latest available repair services. As equipment has become more complex, Hytec management is committed to the selection of only the most qualified technical personnel, ongoing education and training of our employees, and ensuring our technical staff has the latest in technology, equipment and support.
All boards are received in and put through an initial visual inspection to check for physical damage. Boards are then processed into the repair cycle, going through a series of live and static tests to determine operational symptoms and failures. Only at Hytec are ALL boards put through a live operation cycle in their respective machines according to detailed testing procedures.
Since all boards repaired at Hytec carry a full one-year warranty, preventative repairs and upgrades may be done on certain high-failure items. This further ensures the reliability of the board, so that it should not fail even well beyond Hytec’s warranty period. All boards repaired at Hytec are updated to the most recent version of software provided by the OEM.
After repairs are completed and defective components replaced, a final live test is performed. Once it has been tested, the board is processed on to our quality control and shipping departments, and prepared for delivery back to you. Special electrostatic and physical handling precautions are taken throughout our facility to ensure complete protection of your boards.
